Congratulations to

Bud Finn

The IPSC match at RR&RC was a bust this weekend. The complete match including the rifle stage will be shot on June 21. The photo below shows some of the pistol stages on range B. The photo does not do the match set up justice. You can see the Texas Star set up in one of the stages and the two walls with the rotary mover window. Rod Carter said the match layout reminded him of "Lakeside Amusement Park". I don't think that was a complement! Look for some more of those 7 shot revolver friendly stages Rod.

We will be setting up the match on Friday June 20 from about 10:00am on. If you want to help with the match setup or move around some pea gravel come out on Friday. Weather permitting we will shoot some people through Friday afternoon to lighten our load on Saturday.
We broke down the stages today about 9am and set up a " Speed Match" for a fun side shoot. Five poppers and one 8" round plate at about 12 yards. Each shooter could run the poppers and plate for $1.00 a try. The fastest time would take the pot. John Tilden set the pace with his first run at 4.81 seconds, from the draw. I picked him off with a 4.28 second run. George Manning smoked us with a run of 4.20 seconds.  I came back with what I thought was a blazing run of 4.19 seconds. Only .01 seconds faster than George. Then along came Bud "The Man" Finn with and unbelievable 3.61 second run!! Has anyone every heard the term "sandbagger"? He walked away with a $51.00 pot, a large part of which was my money. Anytime you hear "side shoot" from Bud my suggestion is to turn and run the other direction! We will have a special Bud Finn stage in the upcoming IPSC matches. Lots of that special orange plastic fence material to shoot through.
Don't miss the June 21 match at RR&RC. The Texas Star will be fun to shoot and the junk yard electric mover seems to work better than expected. We will have the Texas Windmill mover on the rifle stage. If you have any questions email me at 50sniper@cox.net.
